Celtics end the game on a 10-0 run to close out the 76ers, take 3-0 series lead

The Philadelphia 76ers are now one loss away from being eliminated in the NBA playoffs. The Boston Celtics ended Game 3 on a 10-0 run to pick up the 102-94 victory over the Sixers, taking a commanding 3-0 lead. Kemba Walker led the way for the Celtics pouring in 24 points, while Jaylen Brown chipped in with 21.

For the 76ers, Joel Embiid had a game high 30 points, as Shake Milton and Josh Richardson each had 17 respectfully.

My Thoughts

For Sixers fans, this had to be heartbreaking. The Sixers weren’t shooting the ball very well from the field, but they were still playing hard and competing with the Celtics. The Sixers had the game in the bag, but the Celtics defense stepped up and hit some big shots in the crunch time. Also I have to mention this, the refs tried so hard to give this game to the Sixers!

Jayson Tatum had three early fouls, Daniel Theis fouled out late in the game, and the Sixers had nearly almost 20 more free throws than the Celtics. Now I know that there was some bad calls both ways, but they were trying to give that game to the Sixers so bad. But if you shoot 29% from the field, you aren’t going to win many games.

For the Celtics that was a big run to end the game, but they have to a lot better crashing the glass. The Sixers had a lot of offensive rebounds, and the Celtics got very lucky that the Sixers missed out on a lot of opportunities to extend a lead. They were struggling shooting the ball as well, but it was enough to get the win.

If the Celtics take Game 4 and complete the sweep, the Sixers are going to have quite an offseason. Sixers head coach Brett Brown is FOR SURE getting fired. They may be moving Joel Embiid or Ben Simmons. You could see them try to get rid of Al Horford or Tobias Harris. I’m not sure what you will be seeing this off season for the Sixers. This season was filled with high hopes, and this season turned into a disaster.

Game 4 will be Sunday at 1:00 as the Celtics will be looking to complete the series sweep against the Sixers.
