The 2020 NBA Free Agency is coming up on November 20th at 6 P.M. After a crazy 2019-2020 NBA season, the NBA is ready to take storm again on December 22nd to start the 72 game regular season. The 2020 Free Agent class is not as intriguing as the 2019 NBA Free Agency class, but there could be lots of moves on the way. So without further a do, here are my predictions for this NBA Free Agency class.
Anthony Davis stays put with the Lakers, signs Big Max contract

The Los Angeles Lakers acquired their star forward in the 2019, and it seemed to pay off. The Lakers won the 2020 NBA title, and I big majority of why they won the title was thanks to Anthony Davis. There is NO WAY, that Anthony Davis will be leaving the Lakers after helping bringing home an NBA title to the city of LA. Davis will be staying put with the Lakers, and will sign a big max contract with the Lakers.
Fred VanVleet gets his money and re-signs with the Raptors

I think the NBA champion Fred VanVleet will stay put in Toronto. He has said on JJ Redick’s that he wants to get paid and I feel like Toronto will give him that contract. The Raptors obviously will be wanting to go after Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021, but you need a backup up plan incase everything backfires. So I think the Raptors will give VanVleet the max contract, and if Giannis comes to Toronto, they will trade him away in a year in order to keep Lowry and Siakam. If he does not, I could see him get a really good contract from the New York Knicks.
Montrezl Harrell has enough with the Clippers, signs with the Charlotte Hornets

The LA Clippers season ended terribly last year, blowing 3-1 series lead to the Denver Nuggets. Obviously they can’t really bring everyone back, and that guy will most likely be Montrezl Harrell. I expect Harrell to get a big contract deal from a team and I feel like that team will be the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets are missing that piece, and I feel like that guy they are missing is Montrezl Harrell.
Gordon Hayward opts in to his 34.1 million dollar player option, but gets traded away to the Pacers

Gordon Hayward would be crazy to not opt in to his 34.1 million dollar deal with The Celtics, but he could also be on the move. I could see him being traded to the Indiana Pacers in a deal for Myles Turner or Victor Oladipo. The Celtics will do this to free up some cap space, so they can be able to afford to offer Jayson Tatum the max contract. Hayward has been known for getting hurt a lot, but wherever he goes, he will be a good player and if he stays healthy could get back to being an All-Star.
Lakers spend some cap space and signs Serge Ibaka

After helping bringing Toronto an NBA Championship, Serge Ibaka will look to help bring another title to another team. I feel like the Lakers will spend some cap space and sign Serge Ibaka to a 1-2 year deal. I feel like the Lakers could use Ibaka to the best of his abilities, and I think Ibaka wants to go to a team that will give him a good contract and a chance to win another NBA title. The Raptors just don’t have the cap space to keep Ibaka which is why I think he will be leaving Toronto in the offseason.
Brandon Ingram isn’t going anywhere, signs max contract with the Pelicans

Brandon Ingram is a restricted free agent, but the Pelicans will make sure he is not going anywhere. Ingram will be offered a big max contract to stay in New Orleans as he is apart of a bright future with Zion Williamson and the Pelicans organization. Ingram had a breakout year last season, and will be on the rise once again to be a potential superstar.
Danilo Gallinari joins the reigning Eastern Conference Champions, the Miami Heat

The Miami Heat has been eying this guy all season last season. And I think that they will end up getting him. Gallinari will leave Oklahoma City Thunder to sign with the Miami Heat as the Heat will add some more shooters to their roster. OKC is looking to build for the future, which is why they will be parting ways with a top scorer.
Demar Derozan will stay with the Spurs……for now

Demar Derozan will stay with the San Antonio Spurs for right now. There has been rumors that he is wanting out of San Antonio, but I feel like he will opt in to his contract and will be traded away at some point. I don’t really know where he could get ended up on, but it could be possibly that he stays in San Antonio and gets traded away somewhere else.
Andre Drummond doesn’t want to opt out of big contract, will deal with being on the Cavaliers a little longer

Andre Drummond will stay put in Cleveland as he is not wanting to get out of that $28 million dollar deal. I don’t think he will stay on Cleveland for his whole career, but I think that he will be returning to the Cavaliers this upcoming season. He is a great rebounder and averages a double-double every game. If he doesn’t opt in to his contract, I think he could be on his way to join the Dallas Mavericks.
Hassan Whiteside signs a one year deal with the New York Knicks

Hassan Whiteside will get a big one year deal to play on a bad basketball team. With big stars coming in the 2021 free agency draft, the Knicks will be looking to have Hassan Whiteside play on their team for a HUGE contract. I am looking at the same situation like what they did with Marcus Morris. They will trade him away for contender or keep him just to pay him.
Davis Bertans will receive offers, but will stay with the Wizards

Davis Bertans was one of the best players on the Wizards last year, and with the Wizards still looking to be a contender, they will give Bertans a good contract offer this off season. Bertans is a good outside shooter that fits in nicely on any NBA roster.
