The Indiana Pacers were down by nearly 20 points and cut their lead as close as 2, but it wasn’t enough. The Miami Heat used their stellar shooting to take down the Pacers 124-115 in Game 3 to give Miami a commanding 3-0 series lead.
The Heat were lead by Jimmy Butler with 27 points, Goran Dragic had 24, Bam Adebayo scored 22, while rookie Tyler Herro came off the bench and poured in 20. For the Pacers they were lead by Malcolm Brogdon who had a game high 34 points, while TJ Warren added 23.
My Thoughts
Wow the Indiana Pacers are going to probably be swept out of the first round AGAIN.
I know the Pacers are playing without their All-Star Domantas Saboni, but I don’t think that will make a difference in this series at all. The Pacers have a talented team, but they don’t have that dominant guy that can take over a game. Victor Oladipo is a guy that could do that, but he’s still not 100% healthy. Malcolm Brogdon is close to All-Star potential, but he’s not a guy that can take over a guy. TJ Warren hot bubble games are over now, and the Pacers are struggling. I personally think they shouldn’t have been so quick to extend Coach Nate McMillan’s contract, because I feel like they may need a new coach for a better direction. They have not made it past the first rounds IN FIVE YEARS. The Pacers need to trade for a super star or get a new coach, because things aren’t working in Indiana.
For the Heat, they look like a good team and they COULD upset the Milwaukee Bucks. They have a deep roster with a lot of good shooters, and they have the defenders to guard Giannis. I would not be surprised if they end up in the Eastern Conference Finals. I am really impressed with Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro, those guys can get hot and they don’t miss many wide open shots. Another impressive thing from the Heat is Rookie of the Year candidate Kendrick Nunn has not played a single minute in this playoff series. Don’t sleep on Miami.
